Your words.
Your sheets.
Paste the list, create it, then choose a worksheet or open the practice link.
Made for parents and teachers.
Use spelling words only—no names or personal details.
02 / A little practice
Your words. Ready to go.
Add a sentence for each word (optional)
Practice reads the word, your sentence, then the word again, just like a spelling test. Keep sentences short and leave out names and personal details.
Up to three spelling patterns, separated by commas. Leave blank to let the child or a grown-up write them.
Each sheet includes a QR link back to these words. Word search supports up to 20 words with 2–14 letters.
How it works
- 01
Paste the list
Use the words that came home from school, or a list from our spelling word lists.
- 02
Pick a worksheet
Choose a sheet type below the list, then preview it.
- 03
Print or save
Use “Print or save as PDF.” Long lists continue onto extra pages automatically.
The worksheet types
- Look, cover, write, check: read the word, cover it, write it from memory, then check. Two tries per word.
- Spelling test: a numbered answer sheet, with an optional reading page that lists each word and sentence for the grown-up.
- ABC order: a word bank plus numbered lines for writing the words alphabetically.
- Pattern sort: up to three spelling-pattern headings, suggested from your words (for example ai, ay, a_e). You can change them before printing.
- Sentence writing: two lines under each word for an original sentence.
- Word search: a grid with words hidden across, down and diagonally, with an optional answer key.
- Family handout: the word list, four simple ways to practice at home, and the QR practice link. A Spanish version is planned after native-speaker review.
Why the QR code?
Paper goes home in a backpack; the QR code turns it into listening practice. A grown-up scans it, checks the words, and the child can hear each word and spell it. The words travel inside the link, so nothing has to be uploaded.
Questions grown-ups ask
- Are the worksheets really free?
- Yes. There are no ads, accounts or watermarks beyond the small Listbee footer with the QR code.
- What paper size do they use?
- US Letter with half-inch margins. Use your browser’s print dialog to choose a printer or “Save as PDF.”
- Can I use my own words with accents or apostrophes?
- Yes. Words can include apostrophes (don’t), hyphens and spaces (ice cream). The word search uses plain A–Z letters, so it leaves out punctuation and accents.
