about privacy.

This page describes the Listbee website. The planned iPhone app is not available yet. A grown-up should create and review a list before a child practices.

Your spelling words and shared links

Listbee processes spelling words in your browser. Our application does not upload them or save them in cookies or browser storage. Use spelling words only—no names, school details, or other personal information.

A practice link and its QR code contain a compressed copy of the words after the # symbol in the address. That part of a URL is not included in the browser’s HTTP request to our host. It is not encrypted: anyone with the complete link can read the list. Links may remain in browser history, synced history, messages, clipboard tools, or printed copies. Only share them where you intend.

Practice and speech

Answers and session results are held in page memory and are not uploaded or saved by Listbee. A teacher does not receive a child’s results. Reloading or leaving practice starts over; browser history or form restoration may still retain information.

Listening uses only English voices that your browser reports as local to your device. Listbee does not choose a remote voice or send text to a speech service. If no local voice is available, a grown-up can read the word aloud. We do not use your microphone, record voices, or request a child’s personal details.

Printing and saving

Your browser and chosen printer or file destination handle printed sheets and PDFs. They include the spelling list and, when sharing is supported, a QR link containing the list. Listbee does not receive these copies.

Website hosting

Cloudflare hosts this site and processes connection information such as IP addresses and browser request headers to deliver and protect it. This is separate from the spelling words inside a link’s fragment. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

No accounts, advertising, or analytics scripts

This website has no sign-up, advertising, third-party fonts, analytics scripts, or application cookies. All application scripts are served from this site. Practice pages have no purchases or marketing prompts. Hosting-level request statistics may be available to us; there are no child-level learning analytics.
